A resident of New Haven, Connecticut, Zach Rotholtz is the man behind a special design of the green cardboard furniture. Zach has crafted an inexpensive and fully recyclable furniture set that is very lightweight too. According to what this man explained about him, he used to play with cardboard boxes while he was a kid, and felt that this material could be used in a fascinating manner. When he has to submit a senior project at Yale University, he thought of designing a multipurpose chair that could also serve as a table and a bookshelf. He decided to construct this piece of furniture using a single cardboard sheet.

The furniture crafted by this common man is really appreciable due to its cool environmental aspect and sustainability. After designing the chair, Zach's next step was a bench's design and then logically the design of a table. From this point onward, his company Chairigami took over his project. Presently from an office space, he has been creating designs for several people's houses. Per Zach, he has just done a whole room for a college youngster. His furniture designs are all unique in themselves as he creates these per client specifications and requirements, that is each piece of furniture is custom-designed.
He has not only started getting designs for simple furniture items such as chairs and tables, but also for complete rooms, chaise lounges, yoga benches and beds. When it is the question about the industrial cardboard's strength, Zach feels that his designs are mainly for college kids and they just need the furniture for some time, and his designs are sustainable for around one and a half year. The cardboard, for each square inch, can still handle around 240 pounds. These designs additionally do not require any glue or staples. It just needs to be folded for being ready to use. If you get the complete set designed, it can give an innovative look to your room as the design and finish are the same for all pieces.
