The much awaited Fourth Annual Exhibition of Maryland Arts Place is going on in full swing and is named as 'Young Blood'. The walls of the exhibition hall is adorned with various pieces of art by various students of Maryland Institute College of Art, Towson University, and the University of Maryland’s College Park and Baltimore County programs.

In the very front room of the exhibition hall, bright and vivacious paintings by female artists, Amy Boone-McCreesh (Towson), Jill Fannon (UMBC), and Sarah McNeil (MICA), welcome you. The works presented by Amy are "oval" and "Cones and Frills" while a painting named as “Manchine” is the work of another female artist Sarah Mcneil. Another young artist, Jill Fannon's photographs are beautiful and striking and seem to be inspired by another budding photographer called Milana Braslavsky.
In the comparatively dark middle gallery, works of three artists are shown. Linling Lu, Adam Junior, and Wun Ting Wendy all are from MICA and their work represents soft sensibilities of human beings. Lu's sewn paintings are made from recycled materials. She gathered these materials from a lesser known series of work, she attempted in the beginning of her career. She has named her work as "soft shields". Work of Adam junior is named as “No Where Else to Go ” is about a house structure set in a suburban setting. Tai has diplayed two works and both of them are made up of glass, salt and water.
The rear gallery of the hall is also decked up with works of Robert Guevera’s (Towson) and Katie Taylor. Robert's work is an architectural installation and Talor's four paintings are made on canvas and fifth one on primed paper.
The exhibition is a nonprofit piece of work and the funds garnered will go to support the local art community. The exhibition also works as a launching pad for budding artists as they get to earn a name for themselves through the exhibition and become a known name in the world of art.
