World’s most expensive Chipkos flip flops to save rainforests!

Chipkos flip-flops

So far you must have seen the work of LA based artist David Palmer on huge canvasses adoring the walls of art lovers and affluent people. But very soon, you will be able to see his work on something as ordinary as flip flops. And mind you, a stroke of brush by Palmer and the flip flops become world’s most expensive ones with their price skyrocketing to $18,000. You may still gasp for your breath when you hear the price tag but we would further like to add that this exorbitant price is for a cause. With every purchase of these colorful flip flops, 100,000 square feet of rain forest land dying slow death in Costa Rica will be adopted by Chipkos.

The expensive pair of flip flops is further hallmarked by Chipkos through its emblem gilded in 18 carat of eco friendly gold. The emblem weights 6 gms and attaches a ‘golden’ value to the world’s most expensive flip flops.

It may seem weird to people that somebody out there is adopting rain forests, but that has been an established tradition in nonprofit sector which has rejuvenated many acres of rain forests so far. So far through this philanthropic effort 700,000 acres of endangered land has been saved and many more acres are expected to be saved in near future.

Chipko has taken the initiative to introduce this idea in the consumer world. It is hoped that David Palmer’s work on flip flops will make them a rage among the well informed and rich people and they will come forward for the noble cause. By adopting the endangered forests of Costa Rica, the NGO will do various activities for their restoration like land purchase, forest restoration, wild life conservation, community education, sustainability initiatives, etc.
