Wine Box Light: Reusing wood for eco friendly home decor!

Wine Box Light
Using waste material to decorate one’s home is always fun and gives wings to one’s creativity. Using waste boxes and completely transforming them into show pieces is a creative innovation and surely makes us utilize things better by extending their life span. The Wine Box Light Project is once such project that intends to give longer life to the wooden boxes that we throw away after use. Who would’ve thought that a beautiful showpiece can be crafted out of waste boxes for a gorgeous piece of home decor?

The basic idea behind it, is opening up the box’s walls to the fullest and placing a bulb inside it. The bulb, when plugged in, can finally transform the box into a lamp shade that is entirely a creation of your creativity. You can also give it several styles and patterns. In the First Light Box there were three wood box bottles in which fluorescent yellow tube was placed. Whereas in Moulin Rouge Lamp, the second in the series was giving the world a wonderful message too as the words freedom, beauty, peace and love were carved on four sides of bottle box.

Following such example Tracy Johnson, an Australian artist created a sculpture using stacks of wine crates. It was a glowing sculpture to inform world that waste crates can be used so beautifully. And it is of small wonder, when people automatically begin appreciating and understanding that you are working to make earth a better place to live by doing your bit to conserve nature’s resources by reusing the waste material.
