When a quirky action becomes a nippy, impressive artwork!

Desh Raj SharmaOct 31 2009

It actually happened at a Sunshine Coast farm in Brisbane where 200 cane mulch bales developed moustaches, hearts and inspirational quotes overnight. The Bli Bli farmer David Suossari and the hay contractor Graham MacIntyre could not discern how it came about until three women (graffiti artists rather) contacted them with their confession. Anyhow, no damages to crops were reported. Instead, what it advocated is a sense of humor and awareness about the green artwork.

Hay Bale Graffiti

It's usually a pretty monotonous job baling hay all day and to come and see this (the graffiti) the next morning, it's really quite funny. Quite a few people have been having a laugh about it. It hasn't damaged the hay at all.

This is how Graham sees the entire episode. Had it been someone else, the ladies could have been behind the bars since such monkeyshines are not hailed alike everywhere. Anyhow, it's not the only incident of quirky creativity. Elsewhere, it’s being done but is not received with such joie de vivre.
