Creativity, ingenuity and sustainability all come to the corner of 152nd street and 104th Avenue in Surrey, Canada. We Designs has proposed an innovative design for Guildford’s "Urban-Formation" that will offers a space for recreation, leisure activities and tranquility. The building and the walkways includes green features like hardwood flooring, bio-luminum and bio-glass window panels, parks and a louvre system that behaves like a power generating plant and produces five times the electricity energy that is used to power the entire site.

The urban-plan incorporates multilevel platforms that intertwine over the entire site like an organic and interactive organism. The single leaves are connected with each other using ramps, stairs and bridges. In order to bring down the noise from the main streets and green the area, re-landscaping it does the trick. The energy required to power the theater space, recreational areas, lighting for the pedestrian lighting in the park and space for cultural entertainment and common events is produced by hydro-sun collection. Not only does the site offer big park areas for cyclists and pedestrians, but it also has room for many sport activities like biking, ice skating, running and basketball.

The photovoltaic-coated skin of the theater and photovoltaic rain roofs covered platform not only produces energy, but also protects from any weather harsh conditions. Wind turbines around the theater contribute in energy production. The flooring and the recreational platforms are made of the British Columbia four predominant hardwood species, while offering durability and strength are bio-luminum and bio-glass used in window panels. The bio-luminum tiles are made from salvaged parts from retired airplanes and bio-glass engineered from recycled glass eyes LEED certification.
