Water-polluting DNA, even in drinking Water, assists germs in resisting medicines!

The problem of drug resistance among potentially infectious microbes has become a serious concern among doctors across the world, especially those of the tropical regions. But, do you know, even our treated drinking water is aiding this resistance?!

Yes, it is the DNA that helps make germs resistant to medicines was found "even in treated drinking water", not mentioning its possible increasing appearance in water as a pollutant! This is reported by LiveScience, as been told by researcher Amy Pruden, an environmental engineer at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, told LiveScience.

And the result -- Diseases that were once considered eradicated - like tuberculosis -- are making alarming comebacks! And presently, more than two million Americans each year fall victims to resistant germs, of which 14,000 die as a result, according to the World Health Organization.
