Origami art amazes us all. As origami-artists morph paper into some varied, striking forms, they keep the stuff from decking landfills, a drain or a waste-bin. Seeking your approval this time is a German-born, France-based artist Sascha Nordmeyer, who creates exotic colored flowers from dyed paper.

Sascha takes inspiration from Singaporean local flowers to create his art. The punched and cut paper-pieces are molded into striking floral patterns to mimic the forms found in nature. Having already created a series of flowers and plant leaf forms, the artist now plans to fashion an entire paper tree.
