UnityDesign’s Exploratory Science Museum exhibit biotecture

The Campinas University in Brazil is soon going to be a biotectural epitome as Japanese architectural firm UnityDesign collaborates with Starburstar to design its Exploratory Science Museum. The initial blueprint mimics the concept of "necklace." Carrying discrete loopy volumes, the beady design is suggestive of various biotectural factors combining to form a compatible whole.

The entire structural design allows ample moving space for visitors and infrequent dwellers as well. Thinking ahead of times, when existing sources of energy won’t be reliable anymore, UnityDesign hopes to keep it as self-reliant as is possible. Irrespective of the handy, high-tech technologies, the architectural firm utilizes simple mechanics allowing natural light and air to leak into the museum and in a natural fashion, illuminate and cool the interiors.

UnityDesign will make use of locally procured soil for bricks. Also, some well-tested practices encompassing high ceilings and open spaces will help in maximizing the natural input so that the museum has the least environmental impact.
