Those who know that environmental conditions on land will never return to normal look toward oceans for respite. K&M Yachtbuilders doesn’t want to dampen their spirits and so, it has announced the creation of a sustainable yacht for them. Larger than a cabin cruiser but slightly smaller than a mega yacht, the Tulip Yacht is a 26-meter classic sloop designed by German Frers Jr. for clean steering through the endless seas. Aside from being a luxury sealiner, with incorporated features, like accommodation for six guests and two crewmembers, stylish interior design and all opulent amenities on board, it features a lifting keel (draught 5.10-3.20m) that provides for a large sailing area.

Supplied with a flat underwater hull and a raising keel, the ship promises a light (aluminum) build with an awesome speed. Glazed ceilings allow sunlight to pass through them, which enlightens the entire length of the deck. With Sinot Yacht Design in Eemnes watching over the design part, Tulip will make its maiden plunge into the Mediterranean in 2012.
