The Marion Palace Theatre's May Pavilion recently witnessed a green extravaganza that demonstrated how easily one can give new life to just about anything. The Eco-Art Show and Recycled Craft Bazaar by Marion County Recycling and Litter Prevention under America Recycles Day’s observation saw various local artists exhibiting spectacular creations made from trash. Barbi Fuller and Amanda Jones from The Rustic Attic store proudly displays items like shingles, window panes, tissue holders made from old tin containers and hand-made soy candles.

Another artist, Steve Roseberry, fashioned old bras into beautiful flowers and ships. His other creations include a statue of an American Indian chief named Chief Tecumseh, which was made using copper piping from the former manufacturing plant Tecumseh Products. This green initiative doesn’t end here, the Eco-Art Show also people with different abilities an opportunity to expresses themselves using recycled art. Kan Du Studio, an art facility inside the Hancock County Board of Developmental Disabilities' sheltered workshop, Blanchard Valley Center, displayed paintings and other interesting items made by reusing stuff.
