The Villa: Twisted architecture by SDL is green to the core

Desh Raj SharmaMar 15 2010

Complying with some of the most rigid energy-saving standards, the Villa by Studio Daniel Libeskind flaunts a twisted architecture with a soft corner for sustainability. Featuring a solar thermal system, rainwater harvesting system and maximized thermal insulation (owing to wood construction), the sculptural living space is extremely durable as well.

The Villa is Daniel Libeskind’s first signature series home that seeks to fuse contemporary living with atypical structural design. The German home parades the standing-seam zinc façade across strangely mystifying angles to offer the latest in the modern way of life.
