Adding to the aesthetics of Burj Dubai is an 11-hectare green oasis that encircles the foot of the tallest building of the world. Dubbed ‘The Park’, the beautiful landscaping consists of six magnificent water features, lush green gardens and colorful flowering trees. Commemorating the theme 'A Tower in a Park,' the landscaping of Burj Dubai has different divisions that serve the tower's hotel, residential, spa and corporate office areas.

The Park has special water features at the each entrance of the tower, making it a perfect eye treat of the inhabitants and the visitors. To add to its green credentials, Burj Dubai irrigates the landscape using a unique condensate collection system. Water condensate from the tower's cooling equipment is recovered, providing an estimated 15 million gallons of water a year, enough to hose the park.
What makes The Park really special are features like a water room located at the base of the tower, incredible lake side view, a series of large reflecting pools, fountains, palm fringed walkways and flowering trees lined up along the entry roads leading to the hotel and residential arrival courts. A variety of plants used beautify the landscaping include evergreen ficuses and cassias. Royal Poincianas, with their trademark bright red blooms, decorate the centre of the tall building that is to be inaugurated on January 4, 2010. Skidmore Owings and Merrill the Chicago-based architects and SWA Group in California took inspiration from the the Hymenocalis to design Burj Dubai and now have come up with the innovative idea behind The Park. The park’s six water features were developed by WET, the designers of The Dubai Fountain, the world's tallest performing fountain.
