It is quite ‘unbelievable but true’ for an electric car especially. At the International Eco Friendly Vehicle & Sustainable Mobility Show in Madrid, Tecnalia Technological Corporation (Spain) made their experimental EV Dynacar reach a speed of 140 km/h (87 mph) in 10 seconds. With an internal combustion engine added, its range can extend further.

The creators of Dynacar say…

…the electrification of road transport is one of the priorities of the research, given that the dependence on fossil fuels and the greenhouse effect has focused everyone’s attention on the traditional concept of transport based on vehicles with conventional motor drive.

Featuring a single-shell structure, Dynacar houses a high rigidity lightweight chassis of steel and aluminum alloy, with an adjustable deformable parallelogram suspension system for the four wheels. The two-seater vehicle has a complete instrument panel to validate systems relative to longitudinal and lateral dynamics. A permanent magnet synchronous electric motor provides the 700 kg vehicle with a peak power of 100 kW plus an energy storage capacity of 15 kWh. The vehicle can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph)in less than 5.7 seconds.
