Seven sustainable designers who reduce and reuse waste

Environment! the word which we all have been across in our lives almost regularly. We have learnt many ways to protect our environment and preserve it from those toxic plastics and non re-usable materials. We have been told a million times to use recycled and environmental friendly products in every aspect we go. Such as using Eco friendly make-up products, paper bags instead of plastic carry bags, carpooling, use of Eco friendly automobiles, reducing the excessive use of fossil fuels like petrol and coal, reducing the use of synthetic and many more protective methods.

So some of the designers have come to a conclusion that reducing the use of such products isn't the only solution but re-using the non biodegradable products to something useful can even reduce the amount of waste accumulation around. Here are such few ways the designers have thought would interest you and take a step above in helping the environment.

1. Elanit Neutra

Handbags! One of the things which make girls go crazy about. Every girl dreams to have a huge range of hand bags suiting her every dress and every occasion. So, the designer Elanit Neutra had thought about creating such most innovative handbags which not only attract the girls but also lends a hand in preserving the environment too. The handbags made by this designer were made of recycled inner tubes of tires. The geometric lines, curves and ridges of these tires have added up a new fashion trend to these handbags. This idea has saved many rubber tires going straight into some landfills and preserving nature.

2. Abu YoYo

Many Billboards which are made from toxic plastics are disposed off when out of use. These in-turn causes waste accumulation. To reduce this problem, designer Abu YoYo has designed few purses, line of bags, kitchen accessories, wallets, book covers and many such products with just nothing but street side advertising billboards. The use of such designs and logos to make eye-catchy accessories gave them a cooler look than what someone could probably imagine. These designs have helped in reducing the toxic and non degradable wastes from accumulating.

But furs, synthetics, shimmers, leathers could probably make you an indirect cause for the extinction of our wildlife and degrading the environment. So, the designers of the Cotton's organic clothes have designed a huge range of clothing for women with organic cotton consisting of various patterns and designs which not only make them comfortable but also add up to their beauty. The clothing made of this organic cotton could be recycled again and made use for other things which makes you a part in protecting our environment.

The various plastic covers which we usually find everywhere around us are a major threat to our future surroundings. They are a total non degradable substances which causes many difficulties in re-using them again. But an innovative yet a creative idea had struck Inbal limor. she made use of such plastic covers and turned them into beautiful and astonishing structures and art work which could be framed or even gifted. This innovative idea had prevented many plastics ending up in a gross landfill.

5. Yoav Kotik

we usually find many bottle caps, metal cans lying around in our homes or even uselessly thrown away in garbage cans where they are of no use and in-turn causing waste accumulation leading to the destruction of our surroundings. But an Israeli artist Yoav Kotik had creatively used such bottle caps, aluminium cans and paraphernalia as his source of producing some art. He made few models of spring flowers, Jewellery out of caps and cans, light fixtures, home accessories for decorating purposes and many more. he even organised an exhibition displaying various artifacts made out of trash which gave many visitors the innovative ideas to reduce the unwanted trash into something useful.

6. Merav Feiglin

Lamps and lamp-stands are a common scene in every house but Lights made out of trash and unwanted materials are not what you see daily. Merav Feiglin has created such Trash lights with all the unwanted junk you could probably find in your home. This unwanted junk includes old toys, shaving brushes, barbie dolls, rubber toys, coffee grinders and all other stuff you don't need. The designer uses such materials to design the lamps which not only reduces the trash going out but also gives your home a new look.

7. Erez Mulai

Waste Paper Bins

Another designer Erez Mulai has come up with an innovative and a social idea of creating wastepaper bins which are in-turn made out of waste paper itself. These waste paper bins are made out of those hard to recycle glossy and tough papers we usually find in magazines. Apart from this innovative idea, Mulai also hires people who are facing problems with emotional disabilities. Thus lending a hand in social welfare too.
