Sun Flower streetlight lights up your way with solar energy

Danish industrial designers Michel Riss and Jens Rosbjerg from RiisRos have designed the Sun Flower street lighting to illuminate your path with solar energy. The streetlight relies on five solar photovoltaic modules on the upper surface of the lamps for power, and is sure to deck any city street, garden or parking lot with its floral design.

Energy efficiency is achieved by replacing usual fluorescent light bulbs with five 56W LED lamps. With an average lifetime of 50,000 hours, the LED lamps will keep emitting white light for over 10 years. If a single LED breaks down, other modules keep working as unaware as they were earlier. An integral daylight light sensor controls the on/off function automatically.
