Sprint Nextel has introduced a new eco-friendly phone to expand its environmental leadership with new green initiatives. The telecommunications company is offering its subscribers a more eco-friendly life with the Samsung Reclaim. This green phone features a slider body made by using 80% recycled materials. The outer casing is made from 40% bio-plastics while the packaging materials incorporate 70% recycled materials.

The Samsung Reclaim sports a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 2-megapixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth with support for the A2DP stereo profile and Sprint Navigation and a QVGA display. It also has a memory card slot that supports for up to 32GB cards. The phone’s charger consumes 12 times less power reducing the energy consumption.
The Samsung Reclaim coming in two vibrant colors, earth green and ocean blue will be available on August 16 for an affordable price of $30 after instant rebate and mail-in rebate.
