Vendors yelling louder than the passing trains go through a lot to earn a living. So, they at least deserve fresh and hygienic food, but unfortunately they don’t get it. Thomas Durand brings a very cool solution to the vender’s food conservation problem in India. The Indian Railway Vendor patent project includes small airtight portable food storage for vendors and a prefabricated storage for these boxes.

Under this project, vendors will be provided with a personal Fresh Box that will be stored in a solar-powered prefab cold storage room in each station. These boxes are made from sturdy recycled plastic and are shock, natural heat and humidity resistant. Flaunting a very contemporary look, the “Fresh cube” will have different selves to keep food and one large transparent shelf below that stores ice. The storage will have a capacity to store 18 of these boxes and will also have an ice maker to refill the boxes if required.
