Sipinnin Spirals: Portable space generates its own electricity by spinning

Carlos Silva amalgamates installation, art and architecture to bring a uniquely innovative portable space to life. Dubbed the “Sipinnin Spirals,” this structure can be used as a gallery, information module or projection space. The construction is made from aluminum colored sheets and screen printed glass with main pedestrian circulation made using steel colored sheet that supports the entire object.

The Sipinnin Spirals uses the motion of the spirals urged by the wind to generate energy to power it. The space constantly keeps twisting and spinning in the same and opposite direction. Various images and videos can be projected onto the screen printed glass, offering a unique environment for art enthusiasts. The artistic interiors harmonize beautifully with the spinning object.
