Sewage pollution effecting Costa Rica tourism hugely

Central American nation, Costa Rica's Pacific coast is no more visited by tourists. But, why? It is the filth of a sewage-rich river that squeezes through Tarcoles, which is to be blamed. It has driven both the tourists and the wildlife away from the coast.

Once reputed to be one of the world's most environment friendly corners, it is now suffering from the lack of sewage treatment. It is because most its habitants are typical of much of Latin America and other poor areas of the world. It is where improper sanitation poses health risks, hence destroying valuable resources.
