Restore Relics in Charleston morphs trash into treasure

The renowned Christian housing ministry Habitat for Humanity International has been doing a sterling job in eliminating poverty housing, and conducting other rehabilitation and recycling programs. One of its affiliates, the ReStore is also propagating its ideology of recycling in Charleston. Just recently, it opened its store named Restore Relics that receives household trash in donation from the local residents and resells it to them after creating fabulous artworks out of it.

Everything from ornaments to nutcrackers is modified and beautified into wonderful works of art. Whatever income is generated out of sales, half of it goes to Habitat for Humanity’s home-building projects.
