While on one hand several species are catapult in the list of endangered species across world, scientists, on the other are finding ways to conserve them. It is simply understandable that removing an egg from the endangered whooping crane's nest lead to tampering of governmental concerns with nature. But, scientists have kicked up a controversy on it with a new finding.

A University of Alberta scientist claims removing an egg from its nest actually increases the species chances of its survival. He claims that since cranes usually rear a single chick and the other dies to siblicide or is killed by a predator, such as the wolf or fox; in the egg-removal program one egg could be taken and used for artificial propagation programs, which was initiated years ago.
