Recycled telephone wires transformed into beautiful bird sculptures

Until now, you must have seen artists draw amazing pictures with a pencil, but here we have a creative head who uses a little different thing to draw. Celia Smith draws with wire and not just any wires but recycled telephone and electrical wires reclaimed from scrapyards. Deeply inspired by birds, this ingenious artist could stop herself from capturing their movement and character.

Celia creates the sculptures in her rural studio in Gloucestershire. Most of her sculptures are of domestic and native British birds. She grew up with a passion for the environment and found her creativity and talent the best way to contribute to the environment. Her works are on exhibit at Lund Gallery's summer show, which will run until September 5. The show will also showcase the work of potter Chris Lewis.
