Terreform 1, a New York based architecture organization has designed a large-scale monument as part of its large project that envision a scenario of reusing all the trash to build infrastructure. Dubbed the ‘Rapid Re(f)use’, the monument is a step towards saving the environment. Under the project, garbage produced by New York City in one hour on a typical day will be transformed into a stunning monument.

This ‘one hour tower’ shows the statue of liberty in the front. Rapid Re(f)use’s design is also expected to feature the famous New York statue in a negative silhouette. Modified automated robot 3D printers will process the trash, where after it will be shaped into an extraordinary artwork. Plastic will be used for fenestration, while organic compounds will make temporary scaffolds and metals will give a helping hand to the primary structures.
