Rains seem to have made a permanent home in China. To add to it, landslides, thunderstorms, hoary winds, haze are dictating terms to China.
Ever since the beginning of the year, China has found itself engulfed with a horrific weather that seems to lay everything bare. Thousands have died, millions ruined and marooned, hundreds of animals lying dead, trees uprooted, houses collapsed, damaged roads, buildings, highways and railways, incessant rains have thrown normal life out of gear especially in east and north China with southern part also coming under similar treatment by weather now. Collaborated with it is the severe drinking water problem amidst flooding of streets, houses, offices and what not.
Moreover, the bad weather predictions seem to spell doom in China already havocked by incessant rains.
The present horrific situation in China points to the surging mercury as the culprit, triggering rains and collapsing the normal weather in the country. China’ s relentless development and ruthless deforestation have added enormous amount of heat in the atmosphere, disturbing the environmental balance.
China needs to reformulate its development and environment policy, else the day isn’t far when a total environment collapse will mar the country.
