The ancient tools seem to be beveled scrapers, choppers, a crude knife and several flakes, all of which could have been used for cutting, according to Colleen Wells, field director for the Leech Lake Heritage Sites Program.
Acknowledging the findings, Wells said,
They don't look like much. They don't look pretty.The items were found beneath a layer of glacial deposits covered by windblown deposits. The archaeologists believe that the objects belong to a period between 13,000 and 15,000 years.
