Hoping to steer cellphones into an era when conventional chargers will go defunct, London-based designer Patrick Hayland conceives a mobile phone that will rely on an integrated heat-conducive charging system to serve you for years. The futuristic cellphone, dubbed as Nokia E-Cu (E for environment, Cu for Copper), will exploit the heat in your pocket or any other source to create electrical energy for itself.

The phone will flaunt certain engraved heat-sinks on its copper case, which represent the effect of heat on natural environment. Moreover, the concept aims to do away with annual 51,000 tons of waste in the form of discarded mobile chargers and to cut out the amount of electricity needed to charge them.
