China will bring the world to home at the World Expo 2010 during a May to October event. Abiding by the theme "Better City, Better Life," the Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) will typify sustainable urban living seeking to protect the cultural heritage. The visitors would see the “Ningbo Tengtou Pavilion” – a two-floor, 1,500 square meter, stand-alone pavilion, standing proud along with the Tang Dynasty Palace of Xi’an and the Tent City of Mina.

Mimicking a traditional Tengtou folk home, the eco-house, located in the eco-experience zone of the pavilion, will utilize wind and solar-powered facilities, water and waste-treatment systems, green plants, roof gardens and other eco-solutions as well. Here the visitors will be able to harmonize with nature as the 320 households in Tengtou usually do. Moreover, visitors also have a chance to grasp why Tengtou is one of the world's top 500 villages in terms of its ecology.
