New Zealand to see new environment regulations within 15 years

With environment as the "buzzword" for all states across the world, New Zealand too has planned to ensure environmental sustainability regulations all over. But, New Zealanders would take 15 more years to start living with it! Meat and Wool New Zealand's northern regional manager James Reeves said this.

Yes, 15 "long" years, as per the pace with which the environment is changing or need action. Now, the focus will be on individual farmers, with Environment Waikato (EW) and Environment Bay of Plenty (EBOP) presently tackling the major jobs regulating sewerage plants, large industrial and point sources like dairy sheds all these days.

According to Reeves,

public demands for improvements in land sustainability grow, so too will the demands placed upon farmers if farmers are not seen to be moving themselves.
