While the other kids are busy playing high-tech games, two high school students prefer utilizing their time on working on a solar-powered car. Ian Martin and Dylan Yott at New Britain High School helped in building and racing one of the few student-built vehicles in the country. The duo have devoted their time for the past few years in creating and improving their green vehicle.

This car can reach up to a speed of nearly 30 mph and is powered by batteries that store energy captured by the sun. Martin and Yott’s team have already taken their car to the Hunt-Winston School Solar Car Challenge for the past two years. The two brilliant heads will be accompanying their team to this year's contest later this summer. It is inspiring to see young environmentalist doing their bit for the environment.
