I am sure you must have heard the saying an egg a day keeps the doctor away by a famous person. What you don’t know who that genius is…of course me. Just kidding, but I certainly know that you all are aware of the nutritious values the egg holds. But, what do you do with the egg cartons once you have enjoyed the eggs, you show them the way to the landfills. Enno de Kroon, a Dutch artist doesn’t do the same, he transforms them into extraordinary art pieces rather.

Making the ordinary egg cartons his canvas, de Kroon converted them into “Eggcubism.” The “two-and-a-half” dimensional paintings use the texture and shape of the egg carton to full advantage, creating a fragmented, multifaceted image. None of the pieces are the same, inviting viewers to take a look from all angles. With these unique and truly mesmerizing paintings made on recycled cartons, the 48-year-old visual artist and painter hopes to change our perception about trash.
