Meandering pavilion built from recycled euro-pallets enlivens college campus

Why simply walk through the college courtyard when you have a meandering pavilion to make the crossover. Nine students from Denmark’s premiere architecture university, Aarhus School of Architecture, have designed a temporary pavilion, which could probably be the most activated social hub to grace any college campus so far. Created around a tree, with no structural elements, the students built the pavilion using 420 euro-pallets.

Basically designed as a curvilinear strip, the pallets are stacked perpendicularly to create a cantilevered condition which provides steps to reach the top of 3.50m high structure. The pavilion can be used to cross the courtyard or even just for sitting in the sun, like on terrace.
