Humans always wish to foresee the undisclosed, and this quest leads them to conceptualize futuristic novelties. Ultra-modern environs, chic localities, up-to-the-minute business places and an abundance of renewable power will be the most sought-after specifics in the upcoming times. So, to realize these requisites, three ambitious architectural firms have joined hands. The aim is to redevelop New Orleans via a hurricane-proof complex, dubbed NOAH (New Orleans Arcology Habitat).

Video after the jump:

The 30-million-square-foot complex on the Mississippi River basin will be a triangular chain of 20,000 residential units, 3 hotels, 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space, sufficient cultural facilities and offices. Along with it, there will be three casinos for the fun seekers. Almost covering all the spheres of renewable energy, the 1200-foot tall arco will feature solar panels, wind turbines, water turbines, passive solar glazing system and fresh water recovery systems. Attaining LEED-certification won’t be the concern for sure.

Accompanied by the fabulous groundwork, a couple of gigantic funding sources might enable the designers to fulfill their ambition. Still, you'll have to wait, since the three phase master plan will take a minimum of 10 years for completion.
