Argentine industrial designer Jesica Martinez seems to have developed a special interest for sustainable products over the years. It is very much evident from her chock-full portfolio that is all about going green and hygienic. Maceta Biodegradable is one such sustainable planter – a basket made from natural fibers like cane, rattan, and bamboo. As the entire bamboo-pot could be planted directly into the ground with seeds, it provides sufficient exposure to roots and saves plants from frequent transplantation.

What the user needs to do is put seeds into the planter with soil. When the seedlings are ready, dig a burrow and place the pot in it. The plants can easily reach out to fetch water in their vicinity. When the bamboo sticks decompose, they act as fertilizer for the plant.
