With Milan Design Week 2010 being just a stone’s throw away from now, designers from the world over are readying themselves for the task of producing eco-responsible concepts. Karim Rashid, the Canadian designer, has come up with a sustainable housing concept named Smart-ologic Corian Living that involves profuse use of the DuPont Corian – a versatile surface created in environmentally sustainable bio-sourced components and recycled materials.

DuPont Energian – the building integrated photovoltaic modules, plus the Tyvek woven membranes will allow the sustainable home to reduce its energy consumption. Some undulating walls gently rise and fall to hold a futuristic kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room, but this is just a nominal facet of the eco-design. Furniture becomes a medium for DuPont to unveil Zodiaq quartz surfaces, to establish a multi-colored interior designing.
