London’s derelict petrol station turned into a pop-up cinema

Out of 4,000 derelict petrol stations in and around London, one on Clerkenwell Road is now home to a traditionally designed, temporary pop-up cinema. A collective of young artists, designers and architects called Cineroleum conducted the transformation. Constructed from donated and found materials, Cineroleum hopes to host a decent gathering on sundown four nights a week.

The cinema-goers will need to buy the 5 euros paper ticket to be a part of the green makeover. The cinema has been supplied with elaborate signage, flip-down seats and an ornate curtain strung from the forecourt roof. More images of the street-side cinema here.
