Imagine being served a beautiful landscape to satisfy your hunger? Sounds lip-smacking, doesn’t it? Inspired by the work of American landscape photographer Ansel Adams’ works like The Wizard of Oz and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Carl Warner converts those picture perfect landscapes into amazing food masterpieces. Called the “foodscape,” these mouth-watering food landscapes are created using vegetables, various bakery products, meat etc.
His journey to achieve something extraordinary begins with drawing a sketch of the foodscape, after which he uses various food items to create the set. Then he takes photos of the mind-blowing creation and retouches them on his Mac. Carl often takes help from model makers and food stylists to create his sets. This creative head imagines his own unique landscapes and brushes them into his own inimitable canvas using paints that no one could have ever imagined.
