Nature, through some of its incomprehensible phenomena, inspires humans to reproduce the same magic artificially. When we see lightning striking a tree, we ruminate on the possibility to capture it somehow. German physicist Christoph Lichtenberg might have thought along the similar lines while he discovered the Lichtenberg figures, I guess. Theoretically, these are the recorded branching electric discharges that appear on the surface or the interior of insulating materials. These 2D and 3D figures, as they begin life, look so stunning.
