Samith, head of the national disaster-warning center and a former Meteorological Department chief said,

It will be a year of heavy rains and floods in Thailand... October to December will be the most critical period for the central region and Bangkok.
He is the one, who raised the alarm about the tsunami danger for Thailand much before the Indian Ocean disaster of 2004. But, he was ignored. I hope, after he following disaster, the concerned administrations and people will take his predictions seriously.

The hilly north of Bankok has not suffered much from flash floods and mudslides, compared to what it has this week. So, be aware Thiland people and administration! Let not another natural catastrophy go ignored killing thousands and devastating hectares.
