Replacing the 10-year old Opirus with the new, improved version dubbed Cadenza, the Korean manufacturer Kia announces its arrival at the Dubai International Motor Show. The maker labels it as green, since the luxury sedan’s LCA (lifecycle analysis) holds it responsible for 29.5 ton of greenhouse gas emissions. Just recently, the car got a carbon footprint label from the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI).

According to the LCA, the Cadenza emits 3.48 tons of carbon dioxide during the raw material production stage, 0.531 tons during the car production stage, 25.5 tons being produced during 80,000 miles of driving and 0.012 tons during its final disposal stage. Reduced weight, lower rolling resistance tires and better aerodynamics make it a better choice when compared with others available in its category.
