Using solar panels to meet terms with your daily energy requirement is a great step toward a sustainable future, but this is one facility that can’t be afforded by everyone. In an effort to provide this green feature to all, Isis Solar is offering thousands of homeowners a chance to loan their roofs for solar panel installation and would get cheap electricity in return.

Homeowners who agree to the scheme will have to keep the expansive power cells on their roofs for 25 years and allow access for maintenance. The roof should be south-facing with at least 24 square meters of unshaded space to enjoy the benefits of the scheme.
The installation will reduce the users' bills up to two thirds, while the surplus energy will go into the grid. The company is paid 41.3p per kilowatt-hour of electricity and expected to earn £1,100 per roof each year. In the coming five years, Isis Solar plan to install an array of 3.3kwh panels on 18,000 houses.
