Is Bush's 'More Nuclear Power' agenda a real solution to global warming?

The use of nuclear power need to be increased, to reduce greenhouse gases from enhancing global warming. This is an idea promoted by President Bush.

it can be killing
it can be killing

Bush said at the Limerick Generating Station nuclear plant,

For the sake of economic security and national security, the United States should aggressively move forward with the construction of nuclear power plants.
He added,
Nuclear power helps us protect the environment. And nuclear power is safe...
But, is nuclear power actually a remedy to global warming? What about the chlorofluorocarbon gas produced and released by nuclear power plants? 10,000 to 20,000 times more potent than carbon dioxide, the CFC gas is the main culprit behind depletion of stratospheric ozone. The gas is also a global warmer.

To add to this, the nuclear fuel cycle also lead to short and long-term biological, genetic and medical dangers. The radioactive elements emit high-energy gamma radiation. And this can mutate the genes in the eggs and sperm, causing genetic disease in humans!

Nuclear power is therefore not green, and it is certainly not clean! Imagine what more of nuclear power plants would take the world to!
