Agreed that Iraq is not faring through the best of times, but things on the green side are positively different. From bio-fuel researches to solar energy harvesting, the country, sans any doubts, is a force to reckon with since the government and residents as well are showing interest in the renewable energy. Treading along the same lines, a privately owned clinic called Al-Dakhil Medical Center in Baghdad flaunts 64 solar panels on its façade.

Regardless of the frequent power cuts and blackouts, Dr. Thamer Al-Musawi’s clinic offers ‘round the clock medical care’ to its patients. Moreover, the solar-powered clinic is now better equipped to allow right temperatures to certain medications. The occasional incidences involving inefficient operation of battery panels and occasional delays for repairs have not dampened the intent to abide by the green energy source.
