India: 23-feet crocodile catapults Orissa to the Guinness Book of World Records

A crocodile has catapulted India’s state of Orissa to the list of Guinness Book of World Records. The Bhitarkanika National Park in Orissa’s Kendrapara district possesses the largest crocodile in the world. The estuarine crocodile is 23-feet long, as reported in the Guinness Book of World Records.

With the Bhitarkanika housing four such giant crocodiles, the reptile is found in the tropical regions of Asia and the Pacific. According to the 2006 Guinness Book website, they all measure more than six meters (19 feet), with the largest being 23 feet.
