Hoda Baroudi and Maria Hibri, the Beirut-based duo behind Bokja Design have created numerous creations since the establishment of their store in 2000. They have been known to play creatively with antiques, vintage furniture and ancient textiles. This time around, they are out with the “Bojka Bug”. The creation that looks a lot of fun is made by covering an iconic Volkswagen Beetle with tapestries, car stickers and beautiful patchwork of handmade vintage fabrics from the middle east.

It is astonishing to see the poetic use of different colored patchwork on a cute little car. Displaying their creativity and craftsmen's skills, the duo exhibited the car at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during Milan design week 2010. In an attempt to help little children of earthquake-devastated Haiti, Bokja Design put the Bojka Bug for auction on eBay from April 14th - 20th. The 1,004.00 Euros earned by selling off the attractive car went to kids of Haiti.
