Horror Art: Spicy life-size skulls to creep you out

Aditi JustaNov 10 2010

Many of my friends call the art of crafting skulls distastefully old, but I beg to differ. An American artist named Helen Altman gives a new contemporary transformation to the art. She molds spices commonly found in any home into "spicy" life-size skulls. Using different materials like bamboo, mustard seeds, red chilies and mung beans, Helen creates extraordinary artwork that can be hung as decorative pieces. These marvelous pieces explore the notion realness of versus artificiality.
