Melbourne-based product design and development group CobaltNiche has come up with a portable water-tank to ensure greenery in public parks and urban environments. Dubbed as H2POD, the drip feed system offers constant irrigation for up to 48 hours to drought-stressed trees. The flexible unit can also be used as a pedestrian or light traffic-closure barrier, an additional seating and a house signage for information purposes. Aside from being capable of irrigating trees and plants up to a 48-hour period, the H2POD is 50% more capacious than standard traffic barriers.
