Grey squirrels, wild cats responsible for songbird's decline in U.K.

Up to 85% of Britain's songbirds are already lost! Not hunting, but grey squirrels and wild cats along with predatory birds like sparrow-hawks, are turning their lives havoc, according to a study. Predatory animals have joined hands with modern farming practices in wiping these songbirds away, indicated the report commissioned by charity Songbird Survival.

Hence, things are going out of control with the number of predators increasing alarmingly, conservationists fear. They say that if this condition prevails, it could have a significant impact on the counts of songbird for a long time throughout the UK.

Researches on it have been made previously at farms across Britain. And it is this study that brings all these researches together.
