The word "green" has touched everything from technology to art to architecture, so how could the business of funerals stay unaffected? With the spread of awareness related to the negative impacts of funerals on the environment, more people are looking for eco-friendly alternatives. To give the eco-conscious the green option of their choice, Greg Holdsworth comes into the forefront with his eco-friendly coffin design.

Holdsworth’s newest coffin has a stunning design and is made from rimu, poplar and plywood. The designer has been making caskets from sustainably harvested and untreated wood for three years. Recently he came up with a new and innovative idea to make the green caskets even greener. Instead of metal-coated plastic handles, Holdsworth has started using designs that have built in handles. The new coffins make a rather perfect eco funeral option.
