The San Francisco 49ers are all for the environment, seriously speaking! Well, the team intends to construct the greenest ever NFL venue in Santa Clara. A new state-of-the-art stadium will make use of recycled building materials. Moreover, inclusion of solar panels and a green roof will certainly magnify the stadium's charm and appeal. It’s a green booster for the 75,000 on-ground followers.

As Planet Green puts it, fans and contenders as well will applaud the eco-friendly theme categorically that encompasses a sustainable and cost-friendly ($937 million) initiative. The plant-covered roof might ensure its scenic beauty while making way to solar installations with efficient plumbing work. Whether the playing surface will be a real green or a fake one is to be decided later. The stadium is scheduled to open in 2014.
